Touch screen problem can be solved with hard reset if smartphone is hanging. If touch screen is not working from a few places then you have to disassemble mobile phone and check touch screen strip jack. Check touch screen strip and mother board if it contains any rust carbon or water damages.
Check all these parts that are given in above diagram. make these jumpers if any of the track is broken and if you find any component is missing then replace with new one.
